About The Barbereux School

The Barbereux School is an independent not-for-profit Early Childhood school that serves a diverse population of children ages three through first grade. We have always had a strong emphasis on an integrated curriculum that blends the arts and academics. Creativity and critical thinking skills are also important components of our curriculum. For more than 90 years, our school has served families on the north shore including Evanston, Wilmette, Glenview, Skokie, and the north side of Chicago.

Each year we hold a major fundraising event to raise funds for our school. The monies raised are used to improve and upgrade our physical space, as well as to purchase new materials for our classrooms. Funds raised in the past have been used to install air conditioning, paint the building’s exterior and interior, replace worn books, and purchase bulletin boards and classroom furniture.
